A study in proportion, balance and daily ritual. A single cylinder, cut once at the collar — nothing tapers, nothing decorates. The brass line marks where the object turns.
The three finishes
Height was settled by the hand, not the table. It sits low enough to grip near the top and turn without lifting the wrist.
For weight and grain. It records where it has been set down.
For the parts a hand finds. Brushed, then left alone.
Where the work is done. Hardened, and built to be replaced once.
