Brown / Brown & Tan Paisley
Hand-cut from full-grain vegetable-tanned American leather and lined with the fabric of a single vintage necktie — brown with brown & tan paisley — this piece exists once. When the tie ran out, the edition ended with it.
The leather is dyed, waxed and edge-burnished by hand in the studio. It darkens with sun, water and the oil of your hands, softens to what you carry, and keeps the record of both. The silk is older than the leather, and shows it.
The back carries the XKV emboss above the cash slot — the maker's mark of the studio's first chapter, left as it was.
Templates are drawn at the bench. The leather is cut by hand, bevelled, then burnished with friction alone. Stitch holes are pricked and sewn with two needles, twice through every hole. The lining is cut from the tie last — once — when the body is already right.
Keep it dry and carry it daily. Dust with a soft cloth; a neutral cream once a year is enough. Marks are not damage. Repairs are made at the studio for the life of the object — write to us.
